Will we have to request additional access for this new navigation?
No. security will work as it does today. Whatever access a user has now will be what the user will have when the upgrade is complete.
Will the UAccess Student Team need to create additional permission lists or roles to accommodate this new navigation?
No, the new navigation is only cosmetic.
Favorites
Can I save a particular student record in my favorites?
Yes, you need to add the favorite while on the Student Record.
If a user renames their favorite, will it be possible to mouse-over to see the ‘bread crumb’ navigation or possibly the ‘original name’ of the menu component?
No. There is currently no functionality set up to mouse-over the favorites to see more information. However, the URL the favorite will be directed will be displayed in the internet browser. This information will include the actual name of the component. You will see the following information provided at the bottom toolbar of the internet browser when a user attempts a mouse-over a favorite:

Future Mouse-Over Functionality
If a user currently has security to see SSN and Birthdate will they also see it within the mouse-over on a student record?
The future mouse-over functionality will provide the ability to set up new components that will be displayed when an object is "mouse-over" enabled. The component that is displayed when the mouse-over is invoked will have it's own security set up. This means that if SSN were put on a mouse-over component (not recommended) it could be viewable by a user that does not have access to the NID component where SSN is updated and displayed. Security requirements will need to be gathered before implementing mouse-over functionality.
Grid Options
If you rearrange columns within a grid, will that new arrangement get saved for the next time you want to use it or does it revert back to the default?
When a grid is changed the changes will be automatically saved for that grid for that user. The user can also reset the grid to default settings at any time.
Navigation
How is this new navigation going to work with our custom pages?
Custom pages will be in the same location on the menu. The custom pages will look and feel just like the standard pages. This includes the new drop down list and message windows. However, the functionality of the page will remain the same. The tools upgrade will not change the actual functionality of the custom pages.
If this new navigation is not going to affect custom pages, how will that be explained to the campus?
Video tutorials will be available online to direct user to for a quick training on the new menu structure. There will also be proactive communication and training to help awareness with the change.
For the ‘recently viewed’ list on the menu, can you go back to the student you were just working on or do you only go back to the page and then have to search for the student all over again?
The Recently Viewed list will only take you back to the component, not the record. You can set up "Record" level bookmarks as a Favorite.
Queries
When running a query, how can you tell if it is running or even done once the ‘Processing’ feature goes away?
There will still be a "Processing" indicator, it will just appear differently to the user. Instead of the word "Processing" displaying in the upper right-hand corner of the page, a more modern spinning icon will appear in it place. So query processing will function the same with a different look.

Viewing Paystub and W2
Do I need to turn off Pop-Up Blockers to view my paystub and W2?
Yes. To turn off the Pop-up Blocker in Internet Explorer go to Tools>Pop-Up Blocker>Turn Pop Up Blocker-Off. You can also change your Pop-up blocker settings by Tools>Pop-Up Blocker>Pop-Up Blocker Settings, type the address of the website you wish to allow and click Add or change blocking level to Low.
